Well, after waking up several hours before my alarm, I've finally decided to post my first post. Today's post will be about half finished projects. For starters, I have more of those than I have completed ones. There's a mostly-done masquerade mask that I'm making for a friend, but I'm unhappy with it and so probably going to scrap it and start over. There's the necklace that I've been trying to make look good for about two weeks now. It even extends to less constructive fare, like the unfinished houses and neighborhoods in The Sims 2. (There's also a slew of paintings, drawings, stories, and collages in various stages of completion.)
I sometimes wonder why I'm so good at starting things, but not at finishing them. I get an idea and jump on it, but if i don't finish what I've begun in one sitting it just lays there, often ultimately being scrapped for parts. How does one fix this? Well, I'm not sure... But I think I might use this extra daylight to go work on a collage...
A blog about arts, crafts, cooking, pets, and anything else that makes its way into my noggin.
Hello there...
I call my blog "My Mother's Daughter" because, well, I am. When I was younger, everytime someone said "You're just like your mom!", I tried my darndest to prove that I wasn't. But, since I've gotten older, and noticed how much of my day-to-day has been affected by my mom, I realize that it's a good thing. So everyone who reads this: Go hug your mom. She deserves it. Anyway, my blog's all about the stuff I do that I'd like to share: recipes, arts and crafts, and more. (But no matter how much you ask, you can't have the ultra-secret family recipe for my mom's margarita chicken.) Thanks for stopping by!
